Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum follows a systems based approach, that divides grappling into standing skills and ground position skills. These areas have been further refined into overlapping positional and submission systems, giving our athletes a clear sense of direction during a grappling encounter. Our positional and submission systems are mapped in easy to follow flow-charts and procedural documents that are available to all enrolled students through Google Drive.

Our grappling curriculum aims to produce grapplers that can actively and purposefully dictate how a fight proceeds from all standing and ground positions, both with and without striking.

To help students stay motivated and working productively towards their next promotion, our grappling curriculum suggests techniques that would be expected of each belt level. Videos of techniques covered in class are regularly posted on our YouTube channel, so students can keep up even when away from the gym.

Kickboxing

Our technical kickboxing classes are based on the insight that the best strikers win fights based on fundamental striking skills rather than their athletic attributes.

Our striking curriculum is designed to help students advance in the three fundamental skill groups: Positional/Movement Skills, Strike Mechanics/Kinesthetics, and Timing and Precision. These correspond to the strategic training priorities of: Don’t Get Hit, Hit Better, and Hit More.

We aim to develop strikers with advanced technical skills who can employ a smart strategy and adapt fluidly as the situation requires.
